SIB organises international competitions in areas such as Microblading, Permanent Makeup and other professional disciplines, providing talented artists with an opportunity to demonstrate their skills, compete at an international level and receive recognition for their achievements.

Through these competitions, SIB aims to identify, celebrate and promote deserving talent and provide professionals with opportunities to build their international professional profile.

ACADEMY ACCREDITATION & PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION :

SIGMA International Board provides accreditation pathways for eligible academies and training institutes in Cosmetology, Permanent Makeup and related professional beauty fields.

Through the applicable SIB certification pathways, students trained at SIB-recognised academies can appear for prescribed SIGMA assessments and, upon successfully meeting the required certification standards, receive a SIGMA International Professional Certificate.

This creates a clear connection between training and professional certification:

Successful candidates receive their SIGMA International Certifications and may be formally recognised on the global stage through SIGMA International Conferences, Competitions and other official SIB events.

The academy itself decides the course curriculum, training hours and assessment requirements.
The certificate primarily confirms that you received training from that academy. It does not necessarily mean that you have been independently assessed or professionally certified by an external certification body.
The certificate normally carries the academy's name, logo, signature and certificate number, if the academy uses one.

In simple words:
“Training Certificate = I completed training at this academy.”
An International Professional Certificate is different because it is issued by a professional certification Board and is based on that board's applicable standards and certification requirements.

Completing a course is an important first step, but professional certification from SIGMA International Board gives your qualification greater value.
